Elton Cunha

Elton Cunha is from Brazil and has over 12 years of experience in emergency management, humanitarian logistics, public policy coordination for civil defense and contingency planning. He holds a degree in Logistics from the University of Vale do Itajaí, postgraduate specializations in civil defense, emergency management and risk management and compliance, and in 2024 he completed his professional master's degree in disasters from the Federal University of Santa Catarina. In addition to his role as municipal emergency manager, he was the former president of the state civil defense board of the State Federation of Municipalities of Santa Catarina, Brazil, is a member of the advisory panel of the English magazine Crisis Response Journal and a columnist for the newspaper Panorama de São Paulo.

He currently works as a Professor, Speaker and Technical Consultant in the area of ​​emergency management in disasters, a collector of historical civil defense items and plays the bagpipes.
