Ricardo Quiroga

El PhD C. Ricardo Quiroga:Ricardo Quiroga was a Senior Research scientist in NASA's Earth Sciences Division at NASA's Langley Center in Virginia, USA. He served as the Coordinator of the NASA Disaster Program for the Americas, aiming to improve the use of NASA satellites and products for disaster risk reduction in the Americas. Quiroga co-chaired the Working Group on Disasters and Resilience of the Group on Earth Observations of the Americas-AmeriGEO and was part of the Advisory Group on Science and Technology of the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction of the Americas. He was also a Founding Partner of the International Network of Earth Observation Laboratories for Disaster Risk Reduction (GEO-Labs). In his role as Latin America and Caribbean Regional Coordinator for the NASA Disasters Program, Quiroga worked closely with governments, disaster responders, and communities to design products and services leveraging Earth Observation data to improve decision-making before, during, and after disasters. Recently, Quiroga assumed the new position of Executive Director of RED LABOT, Geo Labs for Earth Intelligence.
