Drawing on firsthand experience, this presentation will discuss critical lessons learned from responding to over 30 Presidential Disaster Declarations. Focus will be placed on best practices for federal-state-private collaboration, including resource mobilization, operational coordination, communication and improving the speed of disaster recovery. Special emphasis will be given to lessons from recent responses like Hurricane Helene.
