About Aaron T. Parker

Before joining NOAA's National Ocean Service, Mr. Parker served in various civilian positions in the Federal and local government. He most recently served at the U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. DOT. Other roles include EPA, an oil spill response company, the Smithsonian Institution, and over 7 years in various higher education administration positions. Before Federal civilian service, Aaron was a commissioned officer in the U.S Coast Guard, conducting emergency response in the maritime environment. Aaron has over 20 years of Federal and military service. He graduated from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy with a B.S. in Marine and Environmental Science, has an M. Ed. in Teaching and Learning, and is all-but-dissertation complete for a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership.
