About Anthony Sargis, Philipp Fortin, Katherine Therieau & Richard Addotta

Anthony Sargis is a Senior International Trade Specialist with the U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. Commercial Service Middletown, Connecticut. In this capacity, he works with small and medium sized companies to assist them in developing and achieving their export strategies.

Philipp Fortin is a Commercial Specialist with the U.S. Commercial Service at the U.S. Embassy in Ottawa, Canada. In his daily work, Philipp assists U.S. companies in growing their business in Canada and helps Canadian companies identify U.S. suppliers.

Katherine Therieau is Regional Manager of Western Hemisphere, Advocacy Center, International Trade Administration, managing advocacy cases in Brazil, Peru, Chile, Guyana, Suriname, and the Caribbean. The mission of the Advocacy Center is to marshal USG resources and authority to level the playing field on behalf of U.S. business interests as they compete against foreign firms for specific international contracts or other U.S. export opportunities. As a member of the Advocacy Center team, Kathy works with clients to devise customized advocacy strategies in targeted export markets, tying in the support of up to 14 U.S. Government agencies involved in international trade. Prior to working for the Advocacy Center, for over 25 years, Katherine was employed by the Rhode Island Commerce Corporation (RI Commerce) in partnership with the John H. Chafee Center for International Business at Bryant University as Director, International Trade Programs. Kathy has dedicated her professional career to assisting exporters on all aspects of international trade.

Richard Addotta is a results driven entrepreneur who values strategic thinking and leveraging technology to solve problems. Richard has been working in the Utility for over 15 years after starting his career at National Grid. During his time, there Richard ran the Contract Strategy and Management Organization and was a key leader in their emergency response organization. Six years ago, Richard saw an opportunity to improve Utility storm response and started WRM Software, Work and Resource Manager Software, to help organizations respond more effectively to natural disasters. WRM focuses on supporting impacted companies and their service providers with emergency response software.
